Good morning, respectful judges, I'm candidate No. 2, applying for high school English teacher. It's my honor to be interviewed here. Today my topic is Story In History. Now I'll present my trial lecture.

I. Lead-in

T: Good morning, class. Welcome back to school. Nice to see you again.

T: OK. everybody, Look at the blackboard. There are some pictures. Who can tell me the name of these pictures?

S:

T: Nice, well done.

II. Pre-reading

T: Now let's watch a video about the city of Pompeii carefully, then finish the following tasks. Understand?

T: What happened in this video? Who can have a try? Yes you.

S: It is a disaster. and that is a volcanic eruption.

T: OK, very good.

T: The next question. What's wrong with the city at last?

S: The city of Pompeii was buried by a volcanic eruption.

T: Very good! Then we will learn some new words together.

T: The word "volcanic eruption" means the sudden occurrence of a violent discharge of steam and volcanic material.

III. While-reading

T: Read the passage quickly and find out the timeline of this passage.

T: OK, stop now, the style, who can tell me?

T: Read it for the second time. You need to find out what happened in each period and complete the timeline on the blackboard.

IV. Post-reading
