Distinguished judges and teachers:
Hello, everyone I am a primary school English teacher interview candidate x, today my topic is Students Must Do and Mustn't Do. My demonstration is as below.
Step 1: Lead in
T: Good morning, class. Welcome back to school. Nice to see you again.
S: So do we.
T: How are you today?
S: Fine, thanks.
T: There are many rules in our school and class. As a student, if you have chance to make the class rules for class, we should know what to do and what not to do. So, today, let's open the books and have a look, what are the rules in school?
Step 2: Presentation
T: Here are some pictures. As you can see, the students are doing something bad in class.
T: For example: sleeping in class, playing mobile phone, eating in class... Are they right to do so?
S: No. They shouldn't do that.
T: We can say like this: we mustn't sleep in class, we mustn't play mobile phone in class, we mustn't eat in class. So what do you think we should do in class?
T: I heard some students say something in Chinese. It doesn't matter. You can try your best to speak in English Lisa, please.
T: Yes, we must listen to the teacher carefully, we must study hard; we must respect for teachers.
T: So our sentences today are students must do and students mustn't do.
Step 3: Practice
T: What else can we do or not do in class? Now you can work in pairs and try to write these two sentences.
T: To reinforce, I asked a group of students to demonstrate. One student asked and another student answered.
T: What do you think of what they said?
T: Next, let's play a game magic boxes.
T: Put two boxes on the platform and put some cards in each box. Take out the cards and use sentences to express them.
T: Suppose that we have a new classmate today. He doesn't know the class rules. Can you introduce these rules to your classmates? In groups of four, act out the following scene.
T: Let's have a discussion and see which group has the best answer.
T: You did very well.
Step 4: Summary & homework
T: Let's summary for today's lesson. There are so many rules in class, And there are many rules and regulations in our society. We must obey the rules.
T: Well, that's all for today's class. Students can go home and share with their parents after class.
